Frequently Asked Questions

1Does StyleCraft only sell Andersen products or can you offer other windows as well?
After many years in the business we believe Andersen Windows is the best option available. However, we have had clients who only want a few windows replaced to match their current windows so yes we can do that. Unlike replacement window companies who can only sell an exclusive product line, StyleCraft is an independent reseller and can offer other products as well.
2What is the difference between an independent company who sells Andersen Windows like StyleCraft, and the Renewal by Andersen line of windows? Do you offer the same products?
Renewal by Andersen operates under a franchise agreement and exclusively sells a specific line of windows. StyleCraft does sell the 100 Series of Andersen Windows, which has the Fibrex composite window frame like the Renewal line though there are some options and styles exclusive to Renewal by Andersen and not at this time available to other Andersen dealers and resellers. When it comes to Andersen’s patio doors, both Renewal by Andersen and independent resellers offer the same options including the 200 Series PermaShield, Narroline and 400 Series Frenchwood doors. Both the Narroline and Frenchwood door lines offer a wood interior that can be professionall
3How do you install replacement windows? How do I know what’s right for my project?
Homeowners have a choice between an insert install (also referred to as a pocket install) and a full-frame install. With inserts, the window is removed but the jambs and interior trim casing remains during and after the installation. With full frame installations, the casing and jambs are removed in addition to the window, going back to the rough opening. New jambs are installed and the interior casing is either re-installed or replaced with new casing. In every design consultation, your StyleCraft design consultant will explain the available options and differences.
4How much do new replacement windows cost?
Unfortunately windows are a little like automobiles in that there are many different styles and options, and the cost can vary based on which options are selected. As a general average, though, our typical projects range between $2,000 - $3,000 per window with the higher end of the range typically including larger windows and windows with stained wood interiors and full frame installations.
5Does StyleCraft Windows & Doors offer project financing?
Yes, we offer several different financing options for our clients. All our StyleCraft design consultants are trained to discuss available financing options and can answer any questions you might have regarding financing for your replacement window project.
6Which is better, a composite deck or a wooden deck?
It really just depends on your home style and the options that fit your lifestyle best. If you are more of a traditionalist with a more rural or rustic home décor, a natural cedar deck may be the best fit for you whereas modern homes may look better with a composite deck. Also, wooden decks will require periodic maintenance so that is something to keep in mind as well.
7 What makes StyleCraft different from other home improvement companies?
Our commitment! Many companies view projects as transactional, in which they sell you a project as fast as possible and then get it done to move on to the next one. We truly want to be your contractor for life, and work closely with you every step of the way!
